Greater Helena MPO Seeks Public Input on Federal Fiscal Year 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (FFY27 UPWP)

The Greater Helena Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is inviting community members to provide input on its Federal Fiscal Year 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (FFY27 UPWP). The UPWP details the MPO’s planned work elements, budget allocations, and staff time commitments for the upcoming fiscal year, which spans from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027.

The program outlines how Federal Highway Administration Planning Funds (PL Funds) and Federal Transit Administration 5303 Public Transit Funds will be utilized to address the region’s transportation planning needs.

Residents are encouraged to review the draft UPWP and share their feedback by visiting the City of Helena’s Be Heard Helena page at: https://beheardhelena.com/mpo-fy27-unified-planning-work-program

Community input will help shape transportation planning priorities and ensure that local needs are reflected in the MPO’s work for the year ahead.
